If the patient has new fever or infection on clozapine, seek urgent blood testing. If you notice sudden mood swings, severe drowsiness, or trouble breathing on olanzapine, contact care promptly.

Choosing between these drugs depends on history, treatment response, and risks. Clozapine often wins for treatment-resistant cases despite monitoring. Olanzapine can be a good first choice when rapid control of symptoms is needed but monitor metabolic health.
